1st Edition 1899 The Other Fellow by F. Hopkinson Smith, published by Houghton, Mifflin and Company, Boston and New York, The Riverside Press, Cambridge. The book has some minor stains but the pages and binding are in nice condition. There a break in the inside paper between the second and third pages and some cloth degradation/ staining at the rear bottom cloth at the edge of the hardcover. Overall, it’s in nice condition for its age.

For sale is a Very Good condition hardcover of A Thousand Days in the Arctic by Frederick G. Jackson. 1st Edition, published in 1899 by Harper & Brothers. Very good condition overall. Boards show some light scuffs but are solid and square with clear gilding and ornamentation. Covers now protected in a removable Mylar sleeve. All 5 maps present. Page 93/94 had been torn out but was reattached with tape. Some writing by previous owner in pencil on front free endpaper, that again on the “Author’s Note” page in pen, with a bit of pencil marginalia neatly written throughout. Break starting at back hinge between endpapers from top to about two inches down but binding and boards are holding sound. Please see photos for condition detail. Shelf Reference #L-299
